Love it! I think its a classic.
Love it! It's one of the few things that really goes with everything.
I think it's fine, except for that horrible, super-over-done acrylic kind. *shudder*
Love it for the easy maintenance - I want to forget about my nails (there are so many bit and pieces that need daily upkeep already!).
Love it! It can last a long time and if you use a less bright white -- the little wear and tear will not show up as much!
I like a little pearl color -- but have it done only on the nail bed, not all the way up the nail.
I also like for the white part to be on the narrow side -- I think if it is too wide, it is too overbearing.
I love it, it goes with everything, but I totally agree about the nastry acrylic kind. For a home-made version of the french manicure, I use a white line along the top, but then I just use a pink-tinted top coat. It give the nail shine, makes it last longer, and it's one less coat of polish to apply! I use Wet n Wild's kind, and it's always worked great.
Love it - though I've seen it go horribly awry. The pale pink needs to go over the white at least one coat. Any less than that and it looks like wite-out on clear polish. but with medium nails it looks fab.
Lose it. It's a tired, overdone look. Either go bare nailed or paint 'em red.
Love it! It's clean, it's chic, it's classic and it goes with everything!
Love it! An easy way to look polished and cute.
I love to see women with a french manicure. The colorful, polished manicure should be for young girls like a training bra.
Love it! It's a classic!
Love it! It just looks classy.
Love it! It just looks classy.
Love it, except when it's on 6 inch acrylic claws, er, nails.
LOSE IT! I think it looks terribly tacky.
Love it. The French pedicure, however, grosses me out. It looks like toenails in desperate need of a trim.
Hate the fake kind on fake nails, especially when the nails are super thick and square. UGH!!
love an american french manicure on clean oval real nails. I like the sheer white topped with sheer pink. Very nice!
It works for a lot of women, but it is not the right look for me. I am more of a colorful OPI wearer.
The French Pedi though? ::shudder:: Definite don't.
I think a french manicure is a classic, like a simple black cocktail dress. It's low-maintence, clean, and chic. If the nails are too long, however, it looks fake and cheesy. French manicures are perfect for nails that extend just past the finger.
I just saw the post on that site that bashed you guys. I just wanted to say that they suck. You gals are awesome and don't let anyone tell you differently.
I think a french manicure is the most versatile and long-lasting manicure option. If done right, it should make your nails look healthy and well-groomed, not tacky.
However, a french can go terribly wrong in the hands of a bad manicurist--the same ones who do a v-shape or diagonal white stripe instead of a normal nail line. I shudder just thinking about it.
love it! it's one of the few things that make my pudgy, short-nailed hands look somewhat sophisticated. plus the chipping is not as obvious as it is on darker colors.
Love it esp. on the toes. I rarely do a thing on my fingers.
