DeLush Roundtable: "Fall"ing in Love

Dark berry-stained or bold red lips, gold-shadowed eyes, luscious plums, warmed-up nudes and more...from bold and bright to mysterious and dark, this year Fall's shades give you lots of room to play.

So now, DeLush readers...you've seen the magazines. You've strolled past the new products. Tell us: What hot Fall shade have you fallen head over heels for - the one that you know you won't be able to resist? And also, WHERE are you dying to put it? Lips? Eyes? Cheeks? Discuss.

Well, I've already fallen in love with the entire Bobbi Brown Gold Collection. But if I had to pick one product, I'd pick the Gold Shimmerbrick. Shimmerbricks are on my list of favorite products anyway and I have several (Bronze, Rose, Brownie, Apricot and now, Gold), but this one is just beyond the beyond. I love the beautiful golden glow it gives to your cheeks and I love that each strip can be used as eyeshadow. It's just a fabulous all-around product.

I love Nars lipstick in Tamango. The red shade is a perfect score with light eyes and liquid eyeliner! I also want to check out the new Chanel products.

Well, after years and years of playing up my eyes, I've decided to switch it up and embrace the bold lip for fall! It's been difficult because I think it makes my face look very different, but I'm really liking it. I even managed to pull it off with items I already own (although that does not mean I don't have fall collection lemmings!) - I've stumbled upon the combo of Clinique's Cream Shaper for Lips in Mahogany with their Buttershine in Cranberry Cream. The Cranberry Cream looked way too fuchsia on its own with my skintone, but the brown of the lip pencil tones it down just enough. I'm even rocking it at work today and I don't feel like the office hoochie!

i'm with you, corinneyb.

i am a pro at playing up my eyes, but i usually stick to neutral or subdued tones on my lips. i've gotten a red lipstick and red gloss so far and i admit i'm scared when i see it in the mirror. in my mind it's "HELLOOO crazy red", but it's just going to take some getting used to. it's fun to play around with things you don't normally use.

Unfortunately, I have small, thin lips. I am so envious of those of you that can play up your lips and experiment. I do however, have beautiful eyes, so I'm really excited that this falls trend is dark and mysterious! I'm really looking forward to trying the Gold Collection from Bobbe Brown, I've already ordered the Gilded Diamond Dust eyeshadow. I also want to try Clinique's new Brush On Liner for eyes in Smokey Brown. I really need to learn to do the whole "smokey mysterious" eye thing.

I'm in love with Lincoln Park After Dark OPI nail polish. It's super dark, but purple-y enough to not appear too goth. After I read that it (and similarly dark shades) were being "gingerly painted on the nails of those in the know" (see: Sept. Vogue), I tracked down a bottle and have been in love ever since.
