DeLush Roundtable: What's Your Favorite Fall Trend?
So you've seen our favorite trends for the Fall 2006 season, now tell us: which is your favorite new beauty trend? Is it gold smoky eyes or black nail polish -- or a trend DeLush hasn't covered?
As for me (Jen), I am very excited about the return of red lipstick. Where once I thought it was bright and perhaps a bit too much for work, right now it seems classic and traditional and I find myself wearing red or other bright lipsticks almost every day. I am also glad that pale skin is "in", because I'm so tired of doing the self-tanning thing.

I'm so excited that stained lips are back!!! I really like the dark nails trend, but I'm kind of too preppy to wear black (it's high school, okay? image is every thing!)I did find this really great dark red color that I am currently wearing all the time, though. It's Rimmel's Lycra Wear nail polish in Celebrity Bash.
I love the gold smoky eye. I've actually been doing this for a couple of years - I use shadow in various shades of gray or brown and then I dust a light layer of loose gold shimmer powder over the whole lid. It softens the harsh look and blends everything together. Plus it picks up the gold flecks in my eyes and hair. :)
personally, i'm torn between deep red/dark berry lips and the ultra-dark eyes.
I'm fair-skinned and haired (same coloring as Jen's in her bio picture), so I'm a little nervous about the dark eyes. SO, I'm going to try with the nails...in a dark berry or something. It'll be fun to experiment!
For sure the red/berry lips! Now I can finally use all those gorgeous deep colours that I was too timid to wear, but couldn't resist buying!
The 'colourful' smokey eyes are very pretty, but I can't seem to get them to work for me. So red lips it is!!
Yay dark nail polish is back! I love OPI's Romeo & Joliet. With three coats you get the most beautiful deep maroon but not too dark. As the previous poster mentioned, black is very HS.
I'm going to attempt the gold shadow but I haven't had much luck in the past w/ it.
I just spotted the new Bobbi Brown Sparkles and Rubies look and I cannot WAIT to get a hold of the new lip glosses and nail polish. They look fabulous.
I like seeing the more "radiant" foundations being worn for Fall. To me dewy, radiant (not shimmery) skin is just GORGEOUS! That, along with minimal lips and cheeks are a perfect canvas for smokey eyes with not only black but deep jewel tones as well. It's just as lovely with minimalist eyes and red lips ranging from the deep cocoa reds to the bright red hots reds!
