I use Bobbi Brown's Shimmer Brick in "Rose." I'm a pale, freckled redhead with green eyes. This blush has just enough sparkle, just enough color, and always looks amazing!
Hi there! I read this blog daily, so I thought I would come out of the woodwork and comment for once. I have VERY fair skin with pink/red undertones, freckles, green eyes with reddish-brown curly hair.
I used to never wear blush because of my skin tone. I blush easily, and I am almost always pink. But for those days where I'm feeling a bit peaked and pale, I like to use Bobbi Brown's Blush in French Pink. The sales lady at the counter at Nordstrom recommended it to me. I almost shied away from it, thinking it was too bright and that I would look like a circus clown, but it sweeps on sheer so you can build on as much color as you like.
It's the perfect sheer pink for those of us gals who can't pull off the peach colors.
benefit benetint. i cannot live without it. it's the perfect healthy, natural glow (and a great lip stain, too!)!
I'm a total blushaholic, but my favorite right now is Becca Malika Soft Touch Blush. It's a peachy-nude-pink with the most gossamer hint of shimmer that's perfect for summer. I'm light-medium complected with very yellow undertones, blue-grey eyes, and lowlighted dark blonde hair.
I'm part of the NARS Orgasm cult following, but I also enjoy using Everyday Minerals All Smiles and Weekend Getaway. The Everyday Minerals colors have great staying power. I have med. brown hair, brown eyes, and fair skin with yellow/pink undertones. I'm on the border and can wear both pink and peach tones as long as they're not too extreme.
I am very fair with pink undertones.. I love Bobbi Brown blush in Coral.. then following the advice on the website.. layering pale pink over it.. just a little.. for a pop of color. This may sound strange but it works.. basically BB folks tell you that you should put that pop of pink over any her blush shades... then I use just a little pink shimmer brick on the top of the cheekbones.. it rocks! I just wish the stuff was a little more affordable.. for two blushes and a shimmer brick compact your looking at somewhere around 80 bucks! :(
I would have to say the one I wear the most is NARS orgasm! I have dark brown hair, hazel eyes and I'm fair complected. The peachy pink shade works well for fair skinned girls!
Awake Pure Stardom in Lotus Pink. I'm Asian with dry, fair skin, black eyes & brown/black hair. No idea how to tell what undertones I have, but peach looks bad on me.
I'm another fair skin with pink undertones, plus dark hair and green eyes. I used to use Nars Orgasm, but the shimmer started to get to me. Right now, I'm really into Laura Mercier blush in Rose Bloom. For extra contour, I use a little LM in Wild Bouquet under my cheekbones, with the Rose Bloom on top. Both are completely non-shimmery and look lovely. Great staying power, too.
LORAC Sheer Wash in sheer magic, of course. I have a dark, olive complexion (blk hair, brn eyes), so a lot of times, blush doesn't even show up on me, but the LORAC does the deed. I feel like it brightens up my face and lasts 'til I take it off.
I'm fair skinned (pinkish undertones), black-brown hair and dark blue eyes and I love Sonia Kashuk's Flamingo blush on the apples of my cheeks with Benefit High Beam on my cheekbones. Flamingo is a nice sheer matte pink. Very bright in the compact, but sheer when on.
Did you use shade #1 or #2?
I also love NARS Orgasm and Benefit's Dandelion. I have blond hair, blue eyes, and fair skin, and these two colors really make me feel gorgeous.
I usually use Nars Orgasm or Benetint, but....I have found the most wonderful blush/bronzer by Wet and Wild. Yep...Wet and Wild. Its Mega-Glow Face Illuminator in Toasty and then I put Wet and Wild Silk Finish in All Over Shimmer over the top of that. The lady at the Benefit counter SWORE I was wearing Hula!! It lasts all day and feels really light. I
I am Olive tone, with dark blonde highlighted hair, dark brown eyes!
I am a NW 25 right now (a little bit of a fake tan) and I love Meow Cosmetics Firefly blush in spark, which is somewhat similar to Nars Orgasm. However, when I am a bit paler...let say a NW20...I prefer Benefit Dallas, because of its cooler tone...
I've loved Nars Orgasm for years because it goes with everything, but a cheaper version that is very versatile is Loreal True Match Super Blendable Blush in Apricot Kiss (n5-6) It is a nice peachy shade with no shimmer and you can build it from light and sheer to a darker more dramatic shade.
I'm fair skinned, with yellowish undertones, green eyes and dark blonde hair with a few blonder pieces near my face.
Would someone please share some tips on how to use the brush? It's kind of strange. I pull it out of the tube and there's way too much product on it.
I do love the product, the brush just take some getting used to.
Thanks! :)
I am as fair as it gets (my fave Chanel guru brought me over to the Prescriptives counter when I asked for a foundation because he said none of theirs were light enough!) with dark brown hair and hazel eyes. I LOVE Nars Orgasm & Deep Throat when I want to be pinky and I also LOVE Clinique's Pink Chocolate compact for a little bit of a darker pink/bronzy look.
I am a fair, blonde haired, blue eyed, who is currently slightly tanned. I love having a peachy pink cheek. I am using Laura Geller Tint Hint in 'Just Pinched' which is a gel blush (this gives the hint of pink). Over that I am using the Laura Geller Blush & Brighten in Golden Apricot. If I want a little bit of shimmer, I add some MAC Margin Blush. Loves it!!
