Jen's Experience: I saw this product recommended in some of my fashion magazines, and since I've had a good experience with foundation primer before, I thought I'd give it a shot. This product serves a dual purpose. Like other foundation primers, it seals in your pores to give your skin a more flawless appearance when foundation is applied on top. In addition, this product's iridescence is supposed to make you glow from within. Some sources recommend wearing it alone just to give you a glow on a more casual day.
I can't say I could ever wear it alone. It does give my skin a bit of a glow, but it also whitens it enough to be noticable, and that's not what I'm looking for in the dead of winter. I get better results with a very, very light touch. It comes in a terrific pump dispenser (that I will surely be cursing once it gets low) and one pump is enough for my entire face. I've noticed that it does a good job lightening my undereyes if I have particularly dark circles. But the main thing it's good at is being a foundation primer -- it keeps my foundation in place and looking fresh throughout the day. The extra moisture is helpful at this time of year as well.
While this is a good product that does what it claims, I have to recommend Chanel's Illuminating Base over this one for a product that truly helps you to glow from within, with or without an additional layer of foundation.
