What They Say: "These high-tech brush on shadow crèmes glide on smooth, and stay on all day, thanks to the budge-free, smudge-free waterproof formula, and powdery, velvet finish."
Melissa's DeLush Downlow: I love this shade, Violet Showroom. The applicator is nice; you twist the end several clicks to get the cream shadow to come up to the applicator brush. What I did notice, however, was that once you've brushed the formula onto your lids, it is necessary to use your fingertip to smooth the shadow anyway. Unfortunately, once you apply one coat of the color it is quite difficult to get a second swipe to blend well; it smears a bit into unneven areas. Overall, the best method for applying is to brush on the entire lid with the brush applicator, then use your fingertip to TAP the color evenly.
Aside from this application issue, once the color is on your eyes and dries to a silky powder formula, it stays on beautifully and lasts with no smudging. In the pic (click it to enlarge) you can see that I used the color not only on the lid, but also to lightly trace my lower lashline. This is where that applicator really is a bonus.
Bottom Line: If you can get the hang of the application, it's definitely worth it for long wear in very pretty shades (see here). If you want something that is less fuss (and if this is out of your budget), don't bother.
Retail Price: $30.00 (sephora.com or go here to find out where you can purchase Dior products elsewhere in the U.S. and internationally.)
