Review: M·A·C Studio Touch-Up Stick

mac2.jpg What They Say: "For spot-on camouflage: a sleek pencil-tipped concealer blending creamy formula and medium coverage with on-the-go portability. Applies precisely: blends away spots and blemishes in a flash."

mac.jpgMelissa's DeLush Downlow: Say HELLO to your new Magic Wand. This soft, creamy pencil blends invisibly, never cakes or settles into fine lines (works GREAT for undereye area as well as redness and splotchiness), and is my new personal must-have. I was nervous about sharpening it, but it maintains its shape fabulously.

Get to a M·A·C counter and find your best shade (it'll be nearly impossible not to find one that complements your skin with all of these options). You'll love it.

Retail Price: $14.00 (maccosmetics.com or go here to find a select retail location near you)

Review: M·A·C Studio Touch-Up Stick:

I love this product, but I have to say that I have to sharpen after almost every use, which has gotten to be quite irksome.

hmmm...i'm surprised to hear that, only because i haven't noticed that problem at all. i suppose it really depends on how much you use at once and how hard you press on it, as it is very soft. i don't think it's something that would likely be a noticeable problem for everyone, but i think it's good for the readers to consider! thanks!

This was a timely post...I was leaving for vacation the day this review came out and was very unhappy with my concealer situation. I ran with your excitement and purchased this at a M-A-C store while we were away (I also picked up their Studio Fix Powder Found. wich I LOVE!) and I am very happy with the texture and coverage! My only gripe is that the tip broke when I first used it (now I know not to press so hard), and one of the two times I've sharpened it, I lost a little chunk to the sharpener (which I saved in a tissue and used 'cause I'm like that!). BUT, I am willing to work with it for the natural coverage that doesn't slide away on my oily skin! Thanks for the recommendation!

I think you're probably right, Melissa. I may be pressing too hard or something. I don't think I use much - just around my nose and under my eyes, but I'll try a lighter touch and see if that helps.
