Skin Tone: Medium fair with yellow undertones

Skin Type: Combination with somewhat oily t-zone and dry areas around the nose and chin which I need to be ever-vigilant about exfoliating (or the blackheads appear). I also have stubborn undereye darkness that definitely requires concealer.

Growing up I wasn't really a "product girl". I barely used anything other than lip balm, some powder and a little mascara until college. But once I got into it, I GOT INTO IT. Over the years, I've come to not only knowing what works on me and what doesn't, but I also love to help my friends and family with the same.

As I get older I'm realizing the value of really knowing my skin and which types of products don't simply make it look good in the moment, but are good FOR it. I'm always on the lookout for something to keep my undereye circles at bay, and for products that will keep my skin glowing and healthy. Right now I'm definitely into good skin brighteners and exfoliators.

I LOVE the luxury of baths, and often have a hard time fitting all of the salts, scrubs, bubbles and oils that I pick up along the way on the shelves of the bathtub.

I've got a just-barely-healthy obsession with lip gloss and lip balm, and almost always have some sort of fragrance on - whether it's from a perfume or lotion - when I leave the house. I love fragrance oils and warm, musky scents as well as fruity, slightly sweet and oriental fragrances.

My eyes are my favorite feature to play up, so I enjoy finding new products that draw attention to them. Mascaras, colorful liners, and shadows all abound in my makeup cabinet. (All shades of purple look fantastic on hazel and green eyes, by the way.) I also love a healthy glow from the right blush or bronzer, as I don't have much of a natural flush.

In short, I love being the one to discover new things to try, and sharing them with all my friends and family. That was what led Jen and I to develop this site. Now YOU ALL are our friends, and we are so glad to share the fun of beauty with you!
